Modern Rockville, which adds capacity to roads, bridges and storm drains along nearly three miles of U.S. 36 between I-465 and Raceway Road in Marion County, is in its next phase on the path to improvement.
Modern Rockville will tackle: traffic congestion due to only four current travel lanes; crash conflict points with left-turning vehicles; poor drainage in shoulders; and lack of sidewalks for pedestrians.
A public involvement meeting was held in fall 2022 and a public hearing in Spring 2023
Utility work is expected to begin Fall of 2024
Construction expected to begin in early 2025
anticipated project completion in 2027
