| INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a new traffic pattern that will impact U.S. 36 in Indianapolis as part of the ongoing Modern Rockville Road project.
Beginning on or after Friday evening, March 20, crews will close the eastbound lanes between Raceway Road and Girls School Road. This will allow them to implement a traffic pattern shift to the north as construction to convert the eastbound shoulder into a third travel lane continues. More lane closures and traffic pattern shifts are anticipated through the remainder of construction season. In addition, crews will continue utility relocations between Transfer Drive and I-465 throughout the remainder of the season. All work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
