MARION COUNTY, Ind. (Oct. 7, 2026) — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces an update to the scheduled closure of Country Club Road at the intersection with U.S. 36 (Rockville Road).

The closure is now expected to begin on or after Monday, October 26. Crews will make drainage and pavement improvements on Country Club Rd. Access to all homes and businesses along Country Club Rd. will be maintained. The official detour will follow Country Club Rd., 10th Street, Girls School Road, and Rockville Rd. The intersection of Country Club Rd. and Rockville Rd. is expected to be closed for one month, weather permitting.

The intersection of Richie Avenue and Rockville Rd. is still on track to reopen on or after Friday, October 9. Crews were able to finish drainage and pavement improvements on Richie Ave. ahead of schedule.

MARION COUNTY, Ind. (October 5, 2026) — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that Country Club Road will close at the intersection with U.S. 36 (Rockville Road) on or after Monday, October 12.

Crews will make drainage and pavement improvements on Country Club Rd. Access to all homes and businesses along Country Club Rd. will be maintained. The official detour will follow Country Club Rd., 10th Street, Girls School Road, and Rockville Rd. The intersection of Richie Avenue and Rockville Rd. is expected to reopen when the Country Club Rd. intersection closes. Crews are on track to finish drainage and pavement improvements on Richie Ave. ahead of schedule.

As a reminder, Phase 4 of the Modern Rockville project is still underway. During this phase, traffic is shifted to the south side of Rockville Rd. as crews reconstruct the north side of the project area. Two lanes are open for eastbound and westbound traffic. MARION COUNTY, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that the Modern Rockville project will start Phase 4 of construction on or after Saturday, September 19.

Phase 4 will include two lanes of traffic for eastbound and westbound traffic on U.S. 36 (Rockville Road) between Raceway Road and Girls School Road. Traffic will be shifted to the south side of U.S. 36 as crews reconstruct the north side of the project area.

To accommodate the phase change, alternating single-lane closures are planned on U.S. 36 eastbound and westbound on or after Friday, September 18 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Richie Avenue closure

Drainage and pavement improvements are planned on Richie Avenue at the intersection with U.S. 36 during Phase 4 of the Modern Rockville project. Beginning on or after Friday, September 18, Richie Ave. will close just north of U.S. 36 for approximately one month.

During this closure, the official detour will follow U.S. 36, Country Club Road, 10th Street, and Lansdowne Road.

Once improvements to Richie Ave. are complete, crews plan to close the north side of Country Club Road at the intersection with U.S. 36.
