MARION COUNTY, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that the Modern Rockville project will start Phase 4 of construction on or after Saturday, September 19.
Phase 4 will include two lanes of traffic for eastbound and westbound traffic on U.S. 36 (Rockville Road) between Raceway Road and Girls School Road. Traffic will be shifted to the south side of U.S. 36 as crews reconstruct the north side of the project area.
To accommodate the phase change, alternating single-lane closures are planned on U.S. 36 eastbound and westbound on or after Friday, September 18 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Richie Avenue closure
Drainage and pavement improvements are planned on Richie Avenue at the intersection with U.S. 36 during Phase 4 of the Modern Rockville project. Beginning on or after Friday, September 18, Richie Ave. will close just north of U.S. 36 for approximately one month.
During this closure, the official detour will follow U.S. 36, Country Club Road, 10th Street, and Lansdowne Road.
Once improvements to Richie Ave. are complete, crews plan to close the north side of Country Club Road at the intersection with U.S. 36.
