MARION COUNTY, Ind. (October 5, 2026) — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that Country Club Road will close at the intersection with U.S. 36 (Rockville Road) on or after Monday, October 12.
Crews will make drainage and pavement improvements on Country Club Rd. Access to all homes and businesses along Country Club Rd. will be maintained. The official detour will follow Country Club Rd., 10th Street, Girls School Road, and Rockville Rd. The intersection of Country Club Rd. and Rockville Rd. is expected to be closed for one month, weather permitting.
The intersection of Richie Avenue and Rockville Rd. is expected to reopen when the Country Club Rd. intersection closes. Crews are on track to finish drainage and pavement improvements on Richie Ave. ahead of schedule.
As a reminder, Phase 4 of the Modern Rockville project is still underway. During this phase, traffic is shifted to the south side of Rockville Rd. as crews reconstruct the north side of the project area. Two lanes are open for eastbound and westbound traffic.
